Loosing the ability to mask has made this condition infinitely harder for myself as well. I truely hope that changes for the both of our sakes ;(
ZFire
Sorry to hear. I abandoned trying to mask it. Honestly it was better off this way for me.

Do you have trouble sleeping?
SarahMLFlemmer
@BrOKeN_1 You must've had milder T that has gotten worse?? I hope it changes for us all soon too. I can hear my T over the shower again.
SarahMLFlemmer
@ZFire I cannot sleep without Amitriptyline. I keep trying to get off of the Amitriptyline and all I was able to do is cut down from 50mg-25mg so that's a start, I guess.
RunningMan
I can't fully mask, but I still use crickets/cicadas/katydids video to blend in a little to help take focus away to sleep. That's good Amitriptyline works. I was on similar TCA AD Nortriptyline 50 mg for months and never felt any benefit for insomnia or depression, just side effects.

@RunningMan I do notice that a lot of the devices that are coming out and medication's and stuff that it's better to not be on any kind of antidepressants, so I wonder if I could try the Mirt. Can you tell me what mg you are taking?
RunningMan
@SarahMLFlemmer I'm not taking Mirt, never have. Mentioned to Dr but he ignored that. No longer taking Nort, either. I'm just taking zolpidem overnight most nights and may try Trazopene for sleep. I'm not sure what I'll be doing for anxiety / depression.

I took 7.5mg of mirt for sleep. Mirt is supposed to be "safer". Mirt is an AD used off label for sleep
