Tinnitus Talk Support Forum

It sounds more like dysacusis AKA sound distortions to me. From what I've learned, reactive tinnitus is more that your tinnitus gets louder in reaction to sounds which is different, while sound distortions are us simply picking up the wrong sound that we're supposed to hear and so we hear beeps/whistling and other weird crazy noises instead.

It's become more manageable over time but I hope it goes away eventually.

@TheCapybara Thank you for your reply. It's just the craziest symptom to experience. I couldn't believe it when it started happening. I always knew that T could get louder, had no idea this level of ear disfunction existed! .... it's the worst when I wear ear-plugs and talk, a whistle overlays my every word!
