I have no experience with medication, but forcing myself to do things I'm interested in e.g. art, craft, design... really helps distracts my ruminating mind.

I spent ages yesterday creating a moodboard on pinterest for ideas of how to spruce up my living room for the winter....Literally 2-3 hours went by without having any anxious thoughts...

Getting in touch with friends over text and sharing some laughs helps.

Lastly, body scans on calm app are great! So relaxing and good for nervous system.

@Supersix Apologies if none of this is helpful. Take with pinch of salt. Like I said I have never been on medication for my anxiety.

Apparently gaming in moderation is good for mental health too. Adults need to 'play' more, I've heard it's a great stress reliever.
