I get a flu shot every year and COVID vaccination since they've become available. They haven't been a problem for me. I am scheduled for the flu shot this week, no COVID shot yet this year. I would prefer a vaccination over serious illness.
I had one dose of Moderna In 2021. It did spike my Tinnitus for a couple of days, and then it came back down. I haven't gotten another shot since. I caught COVID over a year ago. I had a spike for a few days and got over it in 15 days. I have never had a flu shot in my life. I don't think it would spike like a covid vaccine.
I used to get flu shots before T and I got 2 Covid shots because I was forced - I believe the 2nd one spiked me. It's too risky to take something that is unnecessary.
@cjbhab Way too risky. My spike was intense from the shot. I'll never get another COVID shot, Hospital stays are less common now. It's not as severe as it was several years ago.
COVID is more likely to cause permanent tinnitus than the vaccination. Other than short term serious illness, "Long COVID" is still pretty common and can affect quality of life for years... as if T isn't bad enough.
@RunningMan
We don't have to worry about permanent Tinnitus. We already have it. What we do have to worry about is the shot giving us permanent spike.):
Permanent tinnitus could get worse, though. I had my flu shot yesterday - no ill effects. I might hold off until just after Thanksgiving for the COVID shot.
@cjbhab I've only felt a little tired (at worst) with mild arm soreness from previous COVID vaccinations, no tinnitus effect, so I can deal with that. But I would not want to experience a full COVID infection without updated antibodies more relevant to current variants circulating.
I'm more concerned a serious COVID infection could spike tinnitus or other complications if my previous protection is waning and less effective. As far as I know, I have not previously been infected with COVID, certainly no illness.
