Thank you so much for asking Mark. I need friends right now and help. I've been sleeping some what better, I still wake up every night within the first 2-4 hours of sleep. I'm hoping this can improve. I'm struggling very bad with accepting this. I regret my accident every day and can't live life normally right now.

Hang in there, it gets easier to deal with for most people after those early days. I know how that sleep goes. I'm usually waking after an hour or two after going to sleep and multiple times through the night, probably averaging about 5 hours before I can't get back to sleep naturally. That's been pretty constant going back about 20 months.

I went thru the same things you're going thru now: bad sleep and regret. Took me 4 months before I could sleep normally again. I sleep with a box-fan on. Try that. It can help mask the tinnitus so you can fall asleep and stay asleep.

You have been injured physically and emotionally. It will take TIME to heal, but I believe you WILL heal. Maybe 100 %, maybe not. But you are very young and younger bodies heal better/quicker than older ones (like mine). Your outlook on this, and on life, can get much better also.

I know you are in a dark place right now, but have faith that you can ride out this storm. "This too shall pass".

Both of you give me hope. I have been in such a funk not being able to take my mind off of my terrible hearing/tinnitus. I truly hope I recover along with everyone battling these horrible issues.

I ruined my life that night. Mark I'm not sure this will heal. I have moderate hearing loss

I know it has to suck. But you owe it to yourself to ride it out and see if things get better in the next several months, years. Are you religious, or have a spiritual belief? If so, lean on that.
