Usually I only hear about the tinnitus spiking when you stop taking benzos. They are more likely to reduce tinnitus when the medication is in your system, although I've heard of delayed reaction. And I can't say my low dose 0.5 mg lorazepam has affected my tinnitus when occasionally taken.

I would stay off ALL benzos. I really hear horror stories about it
RunningMan
@Juliane Yes, same here. I was prescribed to take 3 per day, but I've been taking it once every third day.

@Juliane acutely? or from the withdrawals? im taking them due to emergency vertigo attacks I've had since getting covid
L along the way
I take it, and for me it has been a game changer to have been able to have a good night's rest again. You gotta find out for yourself what works best, but in my experience, i'm thankful for now that it helps with sleep

Dependency and tolerance builds with benzos and withdrawal can be horribly bad, so I have been resisting taking Lorazepam more frequently. It doesn't stay in the system nearly as long as Diazepam so that I'm not under medication influence for as long at least when I do take it.
