This is not uncommon to have in certain periods of life. Stress and too little sleep is often a great contributor to it @BeMagnified Consider a well absorbed magnesium and perhaps l-lysine (+ lower stress and such - easier said than done).
Search for BFS syndrome if you don't know it already. Are your spasms triggered by yawns/burps too?
Another terrible condition that nothing can be done for effectively.
I've already been taking magnesium for the last couple of years (I've never heard of l-lysine). I'm not sure if this has anything to do with stress or a lack of sleep. This just came on suddenly out of the blue. I can't think of any trigger.
The jerking is strong enough that it makes me feel off balance when walking or standing. It's destroying my ability to sleep. I'm also getting trembling in my head and vibration down my arm.
My PCP thought I had strained a muscle and so prescribed baclofen, which didn't make a difference. Now she thinks I have a compressed nerve and so has prescribed gabapentin, which hasn't helped either.
