Juliane I'm having a hard time accepting my hearing loss I don't want it to be permanent please I can't take this anymore. Doc said I don't need hearing aid but I hate my hearing
If I recalled, people who've had near death experiences will report vivid and deep experiences. You usually see reports like 'sensations of peace', seeing 'bright lights', or encountering deceased loved ones as examples.
They'll often interpret it as some sort of glimpse of an afterlife or another realm of existence, which has always puzzled me. I tend to view it more as a hallucination or a dream… that feels more grounded and rational to me.
The brain does release lots of various chemicals during the dying process. It messes with you and alters your state of consciousness (the good kind). My man, @danielthor was probably on to something when he said— "Maybe that's what heaven really is; just one last incredible hallucination that the brain gives you before it shuts itself down".
And then there's psychics and the rest of the peanut gallery in the paranormal 'realm'.Don't even get me started on those con artists. Spirit mediums (claim they can communicate with the dead) are in no way, shape,or form evidence of an afterlife. Some are really skilled at extracting info via cold reading, leading questions, etc though. They exploit vulnerable people going through personal tragedy for $$$.
Recommend u all watch James Randi on Youtube. Dude was so good at debunking these people. For decades, he offered $1 million to anyone who could show any kind of paranormal gift. None have been able to.
@ZFire I'm assuming you've never had an experience, a true experience? I'm a specialist in Neurology & you're right the brain does something amazing when it dies. I do brain death exams often. My experience and my families experience was 100% authentic and no one had to die to experience it. Not all mediums are con artist but I'm sure a lot are. Mediums and psychics are two completely different things.
@ZFire I did a lot of research on finding a medium after my experience & decided to entertain the idea to really tests the waters. To debunk everything. She had to live up to her reviews & really tell me something so personal down to a simple thought I had and she did.. she even told me where I was at the time of this thought. She never asked me anything. I was silent & listened to her talk.
@ZFire I think people without a true experience go off of what they've never seen or experienced, don't blame them one bit. Who am I to say they're wrong when they haven't seen what I saw, that wouldn't be fair and vise versa. They shouldn't say people who've seen or experienced something it never happened.
@ZFire I wasn't very religious before my experience.. I had always hoped but I never had proof so it was hard. I'm a person of science but now I know science can't explain everything. I was someone who had to see to believe and I was very lucky to get that chance.
I'm gonna put it this way… If mediums were the real deal and could really communicate with the deceased, you can bet law enforcement would be all over that to help crack murder cases. Have them mediums perform those seances and spirit channeling sessions and obtain crucial information about the murder victim's final moments. But That's not what happening though is it?
Some mediums buy into their own BS and most have rationalized that they're doing a good thing by providing closure for those who are grieving. It's still a con.
Basically, there's no logical way a human brain, made of regular old atoms btw, could somehow tap into info from anywhere other than what its organ senses pick up.
"She had to live up to her reviews" . You're implying you sought out the best medium you could find. That, in and of itself, is information for the medium. The best mediums know most folks aren't showing up for a laugh. They are desperate for answers. That's why they charge higher fees for their services.
The moment you walked into their door, they are already studying you like a hawk. They use cold reading techniques, observe everything about you—your body language and reactions to piece together their guesses.
