I'm aware of that clinic and have some reservations about their practice. I've tried contacting them years ago about the specifics concerning pulsed radiofrequency for tinnitus but didn't receive any reply.
The article from 2024 shows ok results (decrease in loudness for 35 % of participants), no clear assessment design (e.g. TFI and MML) & no control group. So, even though they are doing interesting work, I think they have not conducted robust research so far.
Thanks for taking the time to read the article and respond to me
Despite the research not being robust, I've been contemplating giving it a try. However, 3% of the participants experienced a worsening, so it's not entirely without risk.
I've exhausted all of the regularly suggested supplements, so I'm looking into more niche solutions now (oxytocine, betahistine, etc)
If you're really going all in on this, I'll cross my fingers that you won't belong to the unlucky 3%.
Have you managed to get a hold on Oxytocine? Dr. De Ridder was the one who could prescribe it to me. I've tried it a few years ago, but to no avail. Maybe I could've gone for a higher dose, though it was my heart (tachycardia) who thought otherwise
I haven't asked my doctor for Oxytocine yet, figured I'd first do a month of MDing before going that route. I did some research on Oxytocine in the NL, and it seems it's only prescribed in amounts that only equals to 1 daily dose (as per the NY research).
Do you mean the NYU Langone study (2020)? Each patient received different doses (120 vs. 60 vs. 45 IU daily). It was particularly effective for one patient: he got relief (THI score from 96 to 14) when he tried a dose of 60 IU (30 IU x 2 daily).
