Well, there's some people on here that take a pretty small dose most days or just part of the time. I take Lorazepam myself but limit my usage to every third day so far, even when my anxiety is bad. I don't know if my Dr. would even ok going to Clonazepam which is more potent and has a much longer half life than Lorazepam.

Some days I just need some relief... but I dont want it at the cost of making this permanently worse.

I wouldnt say I have anxiety, although I am sure I have a little. Some days the angle grinder, electric hiss, low hum shit just wears me down to the point I just cant take it. Then I will have an OK day and think maybe just maybe and bam back into hell.

I keep myself mostly together at work and for family. My kids are quite literally the only reason I am still above ground.

I am having a day of it today, thus the terrible spamming I am doing.

@Tryn2BHopeful - I have been spamming like crazy. I think about Benzos daily. My doctor actually told me I should start taking them daily. Hmmm, I don't know about that…. For me it's a short term break for potential worsening. Sometimes we can hit that wall… I feel what you are feeling today all the time. This sucks. I know the feeling of wanting to take them.

Sometimes I feel like trying them, but the feeling of getting my tinnitus worse is bigger. I might try them tho
RunningMan
@4Grace I was told to stop Lexapro (side effects) and take 0.5mg Lorazepam 3 times per day. That seemed too much, so I didn't, then later, a nurse specifically told me I should only take it as needed, which is what I was doing, then the Dr. refilled 90 pills after that. Taking it that often would surely build tolerance and dependency.

@Tryn2BHopeful I definitely have anxiety, shortly after waking each morning, and I think the stomach aches I was left with from Lexapro months back makes the anxiety even worse and feel worse. Lorazepam helps but only take about 1/3 of the mornings.

I've used xanax before, but Klonopin (clonazepam) is considered to be less dangerous due to its longer half-life and less addictive properties.

Have you tried melatonin? Maybe played around with various doses? It brings down the volume of my tinnitus, & I've read that it's anti-inflammatory!
