Sorry to hear that. It seems you can't be too careful with this condition. Hopefully, it's just a temporary spike.

Been super carful in all other situations and had my plugs last time I was at a quiet concert even. But this time it slipped. I didn't know we'd end up in a loud venue though. But then leave! Or walk further away from the loudness. Idiot...

Thanks @RunningMan!
Increased tinnitus in both right and left ear, likely hearing-loss, different perception of some sound (luckily not speech) and hyperacusis. More present crawling sensation in the left ear (had it before too).

I did wear napkin made earplugs, though! Haha… Ha.

Can't understand why the brain don't immediately trigger a "run away" sensation in such situation considering all I've been through when it comes to hearing issues, tinnitus and research and awareness on the topic over the last three years.

Must be the social setting that clouds the thinking. :(

I can't even open the front door without earplugs in. It's a debilitating fear of sound that is only reinforced by each worsening.

@kingsfan So sorry… :( How long has it been like that?
kingsfan
Somewhere around month 4 for me, after my second worsening.

Damn... How did it get worse? I guess you've posted about it somewhere. Loud sound exposure? I'm thinking about perhaps trying SSRI and see if I get more motivated from that. Can't be this low for too long…
