        @Pinhead its a big fear of mine an SBUTT just won’t stop. They are extremely loud and high frequency and cause dizziness and disorientation.

        I know. I have so many friends that basically live in mosh pits and when I tell them I can’t go because my ears ring, they just can’t relate. I have no idea. It just baffles me.

        Can confirm. Stone deaf 87 year old grandma who can't hear shit without ultra power hearing aids: no tinnitus. Her brain gating must be elite but I sure as shit didn't inherit it.

        @BlueMoon86 I just talked to someone deaf in one ear but with no tinnitus. Is "brain gating" the explanation for this? I always thought that if the cochlea was damaged and not sending signals the brain would pick that up as tinnitus. I wonder what the biological explanation for hearing loss without tinnitus is.

        @cjbhab yup, very similar to me. 1-2 a day is usually my average. But I also get some split second loud tones (without the blocked sensation of the SBUTT) instead, which may or may not be a SBUTT. Crazy stuff.

        I also can’t figure this out, sometimes get a couple a day, most I think was like 40-50 once. Sometimes they go quickly and sometimes the muffled hearing/spike lasts for hours or days and gets reactive and louder and distorted to all sounds. Very confusing. I do wonder why. I have tons of other ear issues also but this one is the one thing I can’t understand :/

      look at concerts/football stadiums etc. nobody’s getting severe T and that’s why there is no cure. we are unicorns.

        Even on internet tinnitus forums people are like "you can't get permanent T from one single dose of azithromycin" but here I am. Shocks me how everyone on the ureaplasma reddit seem to be drinking azithromycin like water 7 days a week
