Doubt it,, but probably not nice for your kidneys or liver. Space out your drug use if you can, hope you feel better buddy.

I think Lyrica or excessive use of Ibuprofen might have been causing my unbearable static sound in my ears/head.

Perhaps my left ear tinnitus will lessen with time as my TMJ area heals. In the meantime I am seeing someone with a stronger laser.

Same here, not sure if it's cause of my actual otitis or barotrauma.. or if it's cause of my benzo use or anxiety but it spike at catastrophic levels..

I’m doing pretty good this evening. I did have a chiropractor do cold laser on my left TMJ area today.

My left ear noise is not good. I’m thinking it’s probably from my barotrauma years ago. Time will tell if my TMJ surgery helps.

Something is definitely wrong with my left ear. My left jaw is still a little sore. I can deal with that but not my tinnitus upon awakening.

I was told the healing time for total jaw replacement can take up to a year. I’m 2 months and 13 days post-op.

My left ear noise seems to be lessening. Maybe I just need more time for the swelling and inflammation to go down.

@Daniel Lion, There are a lot of articles on TMJ and tinnitus. The TMJ doctor said my joint was badly diseased, which can cause tinnitus from the inflammation near the ear canal and eardrum. Thanks buddy for your thoughts. I will be glad when I’m totally healed. All my discoloration has gone away and my scar is healing nicely. I hope the scar heals flat.

Biden is train wreck IMO. I will buy an extra large vegetarian pizza with beef and Canadian bacon when Trump wins my friend. Trump will have excellent cabinet members. Sorry your noise is loud. Mine is loud in left ear. I’m semi optimistic it will lessen in time. I text my surgeon’s assistant quite a bit. It will be a month since surgery on June 17th.

Flonase and using an EarPopper helped my noise today. I think my bad left jaw is affecting my Eustachian tube.

Is the ear popper similar to using the valsava maneuver?

Jaw issues can definitely impact the Eustachian tube negatively, so you might be on to something

I feel like my jaw can sometimes make it difficult to equalize pressure. I’ve noticed some jaw movements I make can sometimes give ear fullness. Then I get pressure issues as a result.

Yeah, the EarPopper is safer than the valsalva as it is controlled pressure. I won’t know if left jaw replacement surgery or TJR will fix my tinnitus for good until after surgery. I have a static right now that I can’t pinpoint the source. I don’t like it, very annoying.

@ZFire, I take 2 30mg Sudafed behind the counter. I did use Flonase and my EarPopper today also. I woke up this morning with loud high pitched noise in my left ear. It was brutal. I lose track of everything I take when my noise is horrible. I am doing pretty well atm. I still need left jaw surgery.

Thanks. Think it’s time for me to try some decongestant.

Would you say your tinnitus is more link to TMJ and ETD issues then it is to noise or hearing loss? I get ETD flare up (ear pressure, crackling when swallowing) , I wonder if that affects my tinnitus. In some capacity. Sometimes it feels like the case.

Hope that jaw surgery well help you somehow.

@ZFire, Thanks. It is coming up on May 17th. i have to pay over $20,000 out of pocket. Dr. Bolding thinks my worn out left TMJ is causing my tinnitus. I have high frequency hearing loss in both ears and it's pretty much symmetrical.
