gaslighting is so regular we think it is truth. I have had at least 3 Doctors basically tell me there is nothing I can do.

T literally isn’t a thing. I know it’s unpopular for me to say that. Majority of society can blow an air horn in their ear for 24 hours and they won’t get T.

July/Aug has been mostly manageable. I went on a golf trip, went to the casino, the movies, Waterpark and even bowling. all with ear plugs.

@2049v I have a conductive loss at 20b across most frequencies and at 6k it goes down to 40db then at 8k 50db. My bone conduction is on the 10 db line.

@MiaVIL, This means that there is no damage to the cochlea, which is a positive outcome since cochlear damage is neither treatable nor reversible. Do you know what is the cause of your hearing loss?

      4. MiaVIL
        MiaVIL
@2049v I must have some loss at 6-8k since it starts to slope downward so that is cochlear damage, just mild. No clue how I got this and no clue how I have the conductive loss either. Hearing aids aren’t helping with anything.

Definitely. None of this is your fault. The world is set up as a "one size fits all" shitshow, which means that sensitive individuals like ourselves need to be EXTREMELY careful about whose advice we buy. We need to stay off all meds, live as healthy as possible and, if at all possible, move out of the city and to the countryside.

Oh this is the worst yes. I can hear music and bass in the cars that are at least 40 feet away from me. And I can hear lyrics! I am so shocked. I'm getting spikes and worsenings just by simply sounds above 60 decibels yet they are blasting 110 decibels and totally fine. Life is cruel. I hate living

I view such people as stupid. For me, great sensitivity of the body is linked to intelligence so whenever I come across people like that (blasting loud music, being able to drink a lot of alcohol without getting ill, and otherwise "thick-skinned"), I automatically label them as stupid and lacking in all areas of life that are important. Not that it helps me in any way.

@crescentsky the reason is that chronic T has nothing to do with noise imo. if being around constant noise like bars, concerts, nfl games etc caused chronic T, every single person i know would have it.

I guess because they do not trust doctors and the "scientific" community due to multiple trauma caused by those exact people who were supposed to help. I, for one, fear doctors like the plague.

Sometimes I go a few days with no spontaneous thumps. It's hard to say with the fluttering because that requires certain stimulus which I'm not always subjected to. I suspect it would start up within 10 minutes of watching the Shore webinar.

@cjbhab Well, other videos with voices that don't have other background audio mixed in will trigger it also, like listening to a podcast from Tinnitus Talk, when I'm listening at my computer. Real voices can trigger the fluttering also. Typing on computer keyboard has triggered it a little bit.
