@crescentsky I am so sorry. These events sound horrible:-( It in a way confirms what I expected. For many of us, T is what happens when the last straw on the camel's back break. I too developed T after stress from travelling for work (more like anxiety than stress), Covid, dental work, surgery, sorrow due to a close one having a serious health scare and then a firecracker to make sure I finally broke.

I have a cycle but it needed work, so hadn’t driven it since my T started. Got it back and drove it home, and it spiked horribly. And it’s not a really loud bike.

On another note, the why question, why me and not my wife or friend. That one will drive us mad. It’s like asking God, “Why did you make LeBron 6’8” and me 6’2”?”

@2049v I have a conductive loss at 20b across most frequencies and at 6k it goes down to 40db then at 8k 50db. My bone conduction is on the 10 db line.

@MiaVIL, This means that there is no damage to the cochlea, which is a positive outcome since cochlear damage is neither treatable nor reversible. Do you know what is the cause of your hearing loss?

      4. MiaVIL

@2049v I must have some loss at 6-8k since it starts to slope downward so that is cochlear damage, just mild. No clue how I got this and no clue how I have the conductive loss either. Hearing aids aren’t helping with anything.

Definitely. None of this is your fault. The world is set up as a "one size fits all" shitshow, which means that sensitive individuals like ourselves need to be EXTREMELY careful about whose advice we buy. We need to stay off all meds, live as healthy as possible and, if at all possible, move out of the city and to the countryside.

I view such people as stupid. For me, great sensitivity of the body is linked to intelligence so whenever I come across people like that (blasting loud music, being able to drink a lot of alcohol without getting ill, and otherwise "thick-skinned"), I automatically label them as stupid and lacking in all areas of life that are important. Not that it helps me in any way.
