@Asta, Since I haven't had those tests done before, I'm not familiar with them. As far as I know, there's no technology available to measure cochlear synaptopathy. However, if your audiogram is normal and you're told you don't have hearing loss, but you're still experiencing hearing issues, this could indicate cochlear synaptopathy.

@Asta, Can you tell me what kind of change you're experiencing in your hearing? Can you describe it? I was also gaslighted by ENTs who insisted my hearing was fine, but my hearing is actually in very bad shape. My perception of sound has completely changed.

I'm experiencing hyperocousis and tinnitus- whooshing, jangling and seems reactive to sounds like the fan and fridge. I feel like there's nerve involvement, like my ear itself has an altered sense of sensation, and dampened hearing and feeling like my ear is full. Have sense of my voice inside own head on the damaged side, feel lopsided. Hoped this would all resolve but persisting and feel frightened.
