I know its not quite the same but I've taken to audible for my reading/listening. The right narrator can do a pretty good job and not be too rough on the ears. And you can stay busy moving around. What kind of books do you like?

@BrOKeN_1 I can't listen to audiobooks. The constant chirping of my reactive tinnitus makes it totally impossible. I also really can't be outside for more than a few minutes at a time. A car driving by, even in the distance, makes my ears shrill and shriek. The whine of breaks makes me cringe and it feels like someone is driving an icepick into my brain.

@2049v I don't have a choice. It's work or... what? I have no family to move in with or anything. It's just me.

I'm close to losing my job again. My boss pulled me into her office and told me in short form that I basically wasn't doing my work right. I have to play loud rain noises constantly in a shared office and I can't wear headphones.
