@Yellowblue44 I never used ear sound generators. I have hearing aids due to a complex hearing loss (often referred to as a "cookie bite" loss). But I did use sound therapy on these, usually pink noise, for about 4 hrs every day. Once I did rebuild the tolerance for this again. I did this gradual over probably 6 months or so, starting with it 6-12 months after my worsening back in 2019.

I did not do this on my own. Had close follow-up /support with an audiologist specialized in t/h over a long span of time. I still meet up with her from time to time. I would advise you to get some professional help if you can. Building tolerance is a slow and challenging non-linear process, especially with reactiveness. Find some soundscapes that you can manage in the start. Soft sounds at a low, just audible level.

@MindOverMatter great advise and comforting as im 4 months in and dont feel ready yet. Just playing nature sounds here and there at the moment.

@MindOverMatter first 6 months could you shower with plugs? Drive? Ive not really seen any improvment.
