What are the consequences if you just call out of work every day during those 60 days?

@kingsfan a close friend of mine just told me tonight if I am just resigning and not going to another school district, they can't hold me for 60 days. I will meet with my union president on Monday and find out for sure what it will/can look like.

It makes me sad reading this and I'm sorry you're having to go through it. Whether we realise it or not we're always adapting to each new situation so I think you'll eventually get to a better place in your life.

As I posted for you back in April, it was a very brave thing for you to attempt returning to a school job. At least you have the confirmation that it's futile for your ear health to remain working in such an environment.

Is it perhaps better to just go on 'indefinite' sick and let them sack you? Would you be more likely to get severance pay if you did that?

Hi @ErikaS did/do you ever experience loudness or pain hyperacusis? All the ENTs and Audiologists put reactive tinnitus in the hyperacusis basket.
