  • Hi, and forgive the protracted response time, as I didn't even know messages could be left on a profile and just happened to see your message tonight. I honestly do not know what your particular results would be. Chantix acts differently that nicotine patches, as it binds to nicotine receptors, telling them they are "already engaged". I would say try and see. Beware of possible side effects though.
Hi @MAH1970 What's your dosage and strategy with the Gabapentin at the moment? You still going up & down on it?

Hi Nick, I have changed my Gabapantin dose quite a bit over the past couple years. Usually I have been on 300mg but have increased to get lower tinnitus but then it's always no fun having to back down. As well as deal with the drowsy side affects of being on a higher dose. There is always a tolerance issue with this drug as well I have noticed.
hello, what's your experience with gabapentin? does it worsen the tinnitus? thanks!
@MAH1970 Hi. I just came across your profile and read that your T seems to be sensitive to Serotonin. Does your T calm down once you stop taking an AD?

Oh ya soon as I stop the antidepressants the noise will come back to baseline. And when my depression lifts which it does a few times a year, the seratonin levels rise and my tinnitus goes through the roof just as it does when I take antidepressants. Def related
