I've posted quite a few times about having varying levels of stomach discomfort and pain which began immediately after starting Sertraline (SSRI) followed by Lexapro (SSRI), but I quit them in 2 months, but the discomfort & pain didn't go away when I quit, which was in November 2023. Other than discomfort or pain, I'm not having any digestive issues, acid issues, etc. Endoscopy was good.

@RunningMan Thanks for your comment. Sorry to hear that you got this from medicine. But it's positive that your endoscopy checked out. How is your stomach now?

Strange enough... before I got T I had stomach pain that I went to the doctor about. I would just wake up in agonizing pain... it did go away... then T started. I don't know if they had anything to do with on another.

If anxiety can cause gut issues then it stands to reason that tinnitus can cause gut issues given the changes in the brain signals and the effect on mental health/emotions. Consider your gut health and potential sensitivity to certain foods too.

Mine was apparently neuropathic pain brought on by short term use of SSRI's, so I took low dose 10 mg amitriptyline for a while which helped after a while.

@Tryn2BHopeful That is strange! Perhaps there is something to it when some say that T is influenced by your microbiome.. I am glad to hear your pain went away! Did you notice back then if it was influenced by anything you were eating?

@Brave Zebra What you say is very logical. I have not been able to calm my nervous system for 2 years. I am at a loss as I don't know how to. And I did try yoga and meditation

@Juliane Didn't seem to be... but after the second surgery I had for a kidney stone the size of Plymouth Rock I had a lot of problems. I still believe that something they gave me sparked the entire series of events that followed. I sorely remember them questioning whether they gave me antibiotics... and I think they might of double dosed me...

@Juliane I think it can be difficult to calm the nervous system when dealing with something like tinnitus because it's more difficult to relax. I suppose the important thing is to try different things and find a few things that make each day a little better. Bubble baths, massages, walks in nature, fun activities or whatever helps.
