@vermillion Thanks! Yes I am doing ok actually. I would be lying if yesterday didnt begin to grind me a little. Today, even though I am still very high on my numbers, I am doing ok. The sun is shinning outside so that helps I am sure. Thanks for asking, I appreciate it.

It's really good to know that you're coping despite the 10/10 T+H. I hope for quieter days.
Mettafort
How are you doing @vermillion, forgive me I should have asked.
V
I am really concerned for my future.
Mettafort
Hhhhm....thinking about the future can be tricky. If you are thinking about a future in which you are thriving and crushing it, I am sure you feel a lot different to the way you are now which has that color of concern. Am I correct in thinking you have had your T since Feb?
V
@Mettafort My T began in December. It's been 5 months since then. I am concerned about the future due to the progressive onset. First 3 weeks mild sound, one ear. Then new sound other ear. Second month few more sounds, then it intensified etc. Not the common stable case. What's next?
Paul10
@vermillion that is pretty much the same as mine; right down to the month your T started. It's normal for it to be all over the place in the first year or so. Just remember that there is no set timeframe with T. some say 6 months, some say 12, some say 18. It's completely individual. Just ride it out. Good luck and God bless!
V
Hey @Paul10 it's always a pleasure to feel your good vibe! How you doin'?
Mettafort
@vermillion I respect what you say. I am a newbie to this "community", and already I am realizing the variability factor.
Mettafort
Each day seems to have something different about it. I have had days with an ache on the left side (deaf side), but today I dont have it, but my H is still an 8. Yesterday all day 10/10.
Mettafort
I had a day when I was as low as 2 or 3. Every night the sleeping seems different too, and I am feeling tired.
Mettafort
If you ask what next? Do it from two perspectives. The default I suspect, due to the concern, is a fear of the future getting worse. Or rather, theres a vision for the future, an expectation that is, and then a fear that those expectations arent going to be met.
Mettafort
In the mind thats a place of suffering sadly. So at least try to think about the inverse - a future with this all way better, with you coping way better, worry free and able to take each variable day as it comes.
Mettafort
#Sorry for all of those - clearly cant write long messages on this.
V
Thank you @Mettafort. Since you're experiencing a tougher condition, at this point, compared to mine, your advice counts a lot. If I'll be lucky and be able to reach to that point, i will need time.
Mettafort
The simplest thing is to try to anchor in the present. Who knows what the future may hold. You will feel a ton better my friend.
Mettafort
Victor Frankl exercise - write down at least 10 positive things that come from you having T/H. Sounds odd; can be very powerful.
Mettafort
btw, I promise, I have done this exercise multiple times and feel completely more grounded after it.

Yeah. In the present I wish I could just switch off my phone and go flirting and drinking in a bar. You cannot imagine how wonderful is right now in Athens. Almost summertime.my favorite period. I was waiting for that. But shit happened. No more hang around with friends and flirting in bars. Stuck on stupid tv.
