  • A bit of a spike from a wedding I attended, I was doing so well. Pray that I can get back to my normal in the next few days
    Farida
    You'll be fine
    JLong
@Farida yeaaaa I'm sure I will. The initial anxiety of a spike is always annoying
I passed my 2 year mark a month back, still have T. Doesn't rule my life anymore, will never stop missing headphones haha
Going in a for a hearing test but the virus chaos stopped my appointment :'( Good time to stay away from noise tho
    I really miss headphones :(
    Auron
Did they make things worse?Or did you just stop using them as a precaution?
    JLong
@Auron stopped using them cold turkey after getting T
having less random pains when exposed to too much loud noise. Still have earplugs but it's nice to not have to suffer if Im not fast enough.
Hello, checking in again. Ive been having a problem where 1 ear canal feels hot & hurts sometimes. Normally it's on days when T is louder
Pretty shitty of T to get louder when you're stressed, bc of course it would. thanks T
I want to say I can only hear the T now in a quiet room! Knock on wood but the improvement feels so good

    Congratulations!

If you ever stop hearing it, even in a quiet room with earplugs in, please let us know.

I plan to stick around here as long as I have it. Hope I can write a success story someday
Anniversary with T was yesterday. I tried to do something fun instead of thinking about it. Hopefully by next May 19th it'll be a whisper
My job's new office has an air system that's louder than my T, it's the little things lol
    Y
I LOVEEEE the sound of projectors, it perfectly masks my t at collage. It's not too loud or quiet, perfect!
Playing video games is one of the only ways I can fully ignore the tinnitus. It takes almost my full attention and it's kind of soothing.

If I can still hear ringing I just ramp up the difficulty and keep going lol
Small update: some days I don't notice it, some days I hyper-focus on it. Finally can fall asleep without a noise in the bg to distract me
It's only been 6 months by now but I'm still chugging along ok, hope for the best in all of y'all
Now four months in, pissed I have this in the first place but what can ya do
    Finally feeling ok
    Bill Bauer
I am very happy to hear this!

Did it fade, or did you habituate?
    JLong
I still have ringing, it's quiet now but I'm no longer at the point where I obsess over it. I expect it to fade so here's hoping!
Tinnitus has become quiet hissing/crackling in the past week. Hopefully some sort of hurdle has been reached
I think I'm doing ok habituating, I come on here less but still check in on some of you :)
Was accustomed to a certain low hissing but randomly got a new ringing noise. Noooot happy about it.
Well nothing really bad happened, too nervous to listen loudly

Dude I have Severe Tinnitus. It is so bad. I dont understand why you want to have this. If you want to listen to music, listen to it over the laptop.
    JLong
Well I don't have speakers but I guess it's time to invest. also dude I know you're suffering and I really do feel for you but maybe don't format your replies in an assuming manner
    dpdx
I dont want anyone to have this. Please be careful. Dont get too comfy. Just a friendly advice.
Tinnitus is pretty quiet today, almost tempted to throw on the headphones
    JLong
sorry bud if this sounded like a humble brag
    dpdx
Please I beg you dont put on the headphones. I have Severe T and Severe H, please please dont make this worse. You have no idea what hell I am in.
    Bill Bauer
I hope you won't go through with it.
