  • Some days T is still reactive AF, others very stable & low. It's not H. If I could perfect sleep, I'd be close enough to normal again.
Don't listen to people who claim reactive tinnitus doesn't exist or is "just hyperacusis".
Woke up during the night with almost no T, just a tiny bit + some hum. Best for a long time, but I went back to sleep. Now is a so-so day.
Being away from TT has helped me. I feel like I've woken up from years of nightmares. There's still struggle, but I'm living my life again.
Famous musicians and other celebrities who hide their tinnitus are cowards.

Especially the ones who kill themselves and their death is blamed on something else, without even a hint of tinnitus being the slightest contributing factor.
I don't take meds, can sit and listen to my tinnitus all day when it's louder and prefer to sleep in a quiet room. Who's being negative?
Just recalling the time an esteemed neuro dr wiggled his fingers in my ear canals asking "can you hear me?" when I told him I had tinnitus.
Coming back from the brink of insanity & despair has been a long road, but I've made so much progress. Going to make 2020 a good year.
If TT wasn't around, my conditions would be so much worse off. Had I found out about it earlier, I could have avoided so much pain.
When your life is ruined by medical professionals, it's up to you to pick the pieces up because they won't even acknowledge any wrong-doing.
Hearing tests up to 8khz are less than half the job. It's causing a false sense of security.
Standard ENT response to tinnitus: Get an MRI. If you're not fkd already, we'll get you there.
Humans might be the dumbest species of all. Such a total lack of understanding about dangerous sound levels.
Does anyone experience painful spontaneous opening/clicking of eustachian tubes up their nose?
I'm sick of ppl saying that tinnitus sufferers are no more susceptible to auditory damage from "everyday noise" than the general population

I hate when people state it as a fact too, cause their is not enough study to come to that conclusion. If they say that we "shouldnt be" more susceptible or they "don't think" we are, then that's something else. At least that leaves room for doubt and is more opinion based, then factual based.
People who have had acoustic trauma(s) are more prone to further ear damage, more easily.

@Bill Bauer I know, I saw it. Except I know from my own experience he's absolutely wrong, as would you, I'm sure. Research suggests diets too high in salt, or certain deficiencies can lead to an increased susceptibility to auditory damage via sound. Yet somehow acoustic trauma doesn't? Doesn't stack up to me.

The doctor is refusing to believe his (and our) lying eyes.
1x 87db-ish puppy bark near left ear caused T to worsen in said ear + brain & become reactive. No regression of H.

by H I mean loudness or sound sensitivity

    all better now...
Mometasone furoate monohydrate (ie Nasonex) nasal spray spikes my T within hours. Great. Now I have no idea about what to take for hayfever.
Woke to sound of a balloon popping but it was just exploding head syndrome, I guess. So vivid and loud.
Hyperacusis (loudness or pain) is NOT the same as reactive tinnitus, other than being comorbid conditions.
