  • Hope you're okay. Morse code is awful! Seems you had habituated at one point?
have you tried hearing aids yet?

No aids as my loss is likely ultra high frequency. I had a perfect audiogram yet my T is terrible:(

@Chk2.023 i too had good hearing despite bad t, i got so lucky i got multiple tones my first go around cause god loves me xtra lol but apparently our damage is there but regular hearing tests dont pick it up IDK ,
anyways if it gets bad you might want to try some just to see if it can "distract" you.
@Chk2.023 I feel you so much, i was ur age, ready to conquer the world, right my pasts, i wanted to act, interview people, get a massive social media following, absorb nyc then later move to L.A, man i can go on. i feel you. and the other issues non T related i also had prior to tinnitus looking back was a fucking Breeze. Hope & optimism was always around the corner.

That's so tragic. Yeah, always on thin ice, I feel that. So sad to hear, that's exactly what I'm afraid of.
Also vets go through a lot, you're really strong for holding out hope and not giving up yet. I mean there's some promising research going on which may bring us relief down the line, we just gotta hang in there it seems:/

@Chk2.023 the reason i resonate with you is cause i was literally you guys not too long ago n it angers me on what i missed out on. But with a cure id accept my losses. im so hoping shores device works. You dont understand ive been waiting 9 or so years 4 susan shore. wont lie wasnt the biggest fan but shore is the last one standing. everything else from 2013 has failed
    Chk2.023
I swear if the device could even reduce my T/ eliminate these morse code tones I would be happy, I don't even need my T gone, I just need it to not be this irritating I'm sure many people would agree
@Chk2.023 isnt it surreal how fcking loud noises can cause a lifetime full of misery. it doesnt even make sense. anyway i was around your age when i was cursed with this. all ima say is hang in there and lets see what susan shores device has to offer.

YES the fact that so many veterans have it and they still do nothing about it amazes me. The worst thing about T is that you can have good moments where you're too distracted by whatever to notice but, but as soon as that's over it's there to remind u how reduced your quality of life is. I hate to be a downer but:(((

@Chk2.023 i swear if we ever get a cure im moving to a tropical island for 2 years to unpack and celebrate 2 make up for my 20s lol. I so miss non tinnitus days getting my paycheck taking a quick bus ride to NYC go to an anime/video game store buy some stuff then go to a Chinese buffet eat then go back home at night looking at the majestic night skyline sigh, ahh 1 day sis one day

Omg I would live it uppp I'd literally feel like I just got cured of cancer I'm not even kidding. My mind just felt so open before T, like there were so many possibilities. I love NYC and now when I'm there I'm always paranoid about sirens and shit. One day I hope
