T is better but still there. Kind of used to it now
    T
Do you still have ear spasms? 1 month and seems to get worse. Reacts to doors closing, faucets myself talking etc.
    COYS
I do sometimes but its definitely improved. I dont notice it as much as I used to either. The spasms I could deal with but the ear pain was horrible
Feel almost back to normal now. Back cycling, playing football and sleeping isn't too bad either. It can get better :)
Sleep is almost back to normal. 7/8 hours straight the last 4 nights
    Lilah
Are you taking any supplements/meds for sleep?
    COYS
Nope. For me it's slowly getting back to normal. I use a waterfall sound to distract me from the T. At first I was getting barely any sleep at all
Woke up today to actual silence. Plugged my ears and I still wasn't sure I could hear it. Anyone else ever get this ?
    Strife_84
I can only hope. My T and H got worse again after being at barbershop... But I am glad you have it better!
    M
Wow you did. That's great How is it now?
Not a great nights sleep but bad nights are less common these days. Guess I should be thankful for that ...
First proper bike ride since T . No ear pain etc so all good hopefully !
    Jack Straw
Went for a ride yesterday as well! Nice to be in nature.
    COYS
Think it does me good to take my mind off it and the excercise obviously
Has your TTTS/ear spasming to sudden noises gotten better?
    F
Right on, yeah mine is triggered from noises in a more quiet environment (my own voice, crisp packets like yourself, cutlery hitting etc). Not sure if I should baby the ear (keeping an earbud in the problem ear seems to stop it from spasming at all) or just carry on as usual. Shame that this issue is not well understood.
    COYS
I used to get a tingling sensation around my ear as well. Its very on and off now and seems to be getting less and less. I dont have ear pain from noise specifically just the spasming or popping sensation. Its very irritating. I went with the logic of dont over protect them against everything but protecting when doing DIY etc.

For some reason I can't find the area to respond to your conversation COYS. Can't find a place to type to respond.
Realised today that crisp packets and the microwave beep feels okay to my ears. Progress ...
    COYS
Don't want to jinx it but I'm assuming it's a positive
    Strife_84
That is positive! But I found out if I overwork my ears, the beeps and so on start to feel bad again. So it's physical?
    COYS
I guess it is! My spasms seem to be getting less but then the odd day they come back again
If Lenire can get my T permanently down to my "just woke up can barely hear it level" I'll be over the moon
Closest to silence I've experienced so far this morning. High pitched eeeee was gone completely ?! Then returned
    M
Yeah mine seems low in the morning as well. Is yours in both ears? Mine is just one ear. But it seems to be moving to in my head. Idk anymore.
    COYS
Mine is mainly in the right. If I plug each ear separately the right seems to be louder
Is your T still fading? What would you say it is on 1/10?
    COYS
Hello. No I'd say mine is ok average 2 and sometimes a 3. When I wake up in the morning it's sometimes a 1. Which makes me hopefull that it's fading
Tingling has been better the last two days having done nothing different. I'll take it though
I think I've worked out that it's TTTS causing my tingling. It was spasming with my head on my pillow and now that ear has the Sensation
T is getting better, music sounds better (I think). Spasms and tingling sensation are so anoyying !
    COYS
Never both ears at the same time. Sometimes my left sometimes my right. What does that mean?!
    Strife_84
Yes, the spasm are worst and the strange tingling sensation.
    COYS
I mean don't get me wrong I'd rather that than sharp pains. But it's so random that's it's only ever one ear at a time
Why is my ear pain back for no reason. Went to bed with just right ear pain. Woke up with just left ear pain. :(
Good news: sat in a quiet room at work 45db ave and not sure if I can hear my T. bad news: Ear spasms are more noticeable than usual! ARGH
Just woke up In a quiet room and had to strain to hear my T for almost ten mins! Closest to silence I've had for months
    rdz
That's good. Hopefully you wont be able to hear it anymore.
You are making good progress, but please focus on protecting your ears so you make the best recovery possible.
    COYS
I definitely will be . Just want to recover as much as possible :)
    COYS
@Contrast was your healing linear in terms of the ear pain and spasms ? Mine was really good for 3/4 weeks and now it's back slightly for some reason
Fire alarm went off at work 2m from me and didnt affect me that much. Is this a sign my H is getting better?!
    COYS
Ears didn't hurt either... but cutlery still makes my ear spasm!?
    Contrast
just because the noiceptors in the cochlea aren't activating doesn't mean you should expose yourself to noxious noise. Pain hyperacusis will come back
    GSC
Plugs your ears next time. Don't test what your ears can and cannot handle.
No ear pain for just over two weeks. Hopefully this continues and these ear spasms disappear too
    Strife_84
They will disappear. My ear spams have reduced to almost zero. Let's keep fighting!
    COYS
4 months in so far. Still hopeful they will stop
First time cycling since T. No spike or pain and good to be back on the bike :)
    PDodge
Same here, If my ears are shit, they are for the day. at least sports takes the mind off it. I hear my T less out in the wood mtn biking
    COYS
I agree. My ears didnt hurt so ill take that. T didnt really spike that I noticed so I'm going to carry on cycling.
    erik
Good for you! I mountain bike often and play soccer 3x a week. Both always spike my T but it's not permanent. It usually settles down by the next day. Regardless, I won't let T deter me from doing the activities I love spike or no spike!
Don't want to jinx it but have been sleeping much better. Need to get back into cycling and get exercising again !
Ear fullness and Tingling is getting me down today. Wish I just had T I deal with that better :(
    Strife_84
Do sounds make it feel more like that? If I am exposed to sounds, it startd to feel like rubber ball is behind my ear, inside my head.
    COYS
Yeah its a weird sensation. sometimes for no reason at all then it can be fine for hours on end.
    Strife_84
I think it might be cochlea Imflammation.
Why can't my T stay at the "just woke up not sure if I can hear it level" 30 seconds of bliss
    Drone Draper
Fingers crossed, Sir. I'm sceptical by nature. I've got some hope now that I can at least function with this level of noise. If it never improves beyond this, but doesn't worsen, I think I can live a decent life. I hope you are well.
    Bill Bauer
Unless you experience a new trauma, there is no reason for your T to not continue to fade. Of course, the more it fades, the slower it tends to fade, but nevertheless all of this fading eventually begins to add up.
    Drone Draper
Thanks, that is my hope. I've been told that I'm prone to catastrophic thinking, so I'm trying not to focus on the possibility of it getting worse on its own. I'm doing all the protective measures I can and will stay well away from concerts or clubs for the foreseeable future. I would ask how yours is doing, but my understanding is that you've stopped discussing it in public.
