Feel like my head will explode.
Only thing that helps, is hot shower on my head.

@Chezten i am only 29 how can i live like this? i have severe tinnitus in my right ear for no reason my tinnitus medication induced
I have intermittent morse code which doesn't bother me at all… I wish it would replace my more chronic tones.
@Marin a window and had to whisper the rounds (sometimes in tears) so it sounds like you were still in a lot of pain?
@Marin if you see this, could you let me know what kind of relief you got from pulsatilla? I ask as you mention you still couldn't open…

Thank you. No, I haven't been for a walk or left the house in over two weeks. I am in silence most of the time apart from when my little ones come home, I'm around them for an hour or so. Unfortunately a couple of very loud screams from my baby last week seem to have caused some increased sensitisation and I'm not doing well right now. How are you doing?

I've been doing a lot of Alan's work and think it's really good, I'm just in a hyper-sensitive state right now (after thinking I was improving ironically)

Im sorry you are struggling. I am to . But please go for a walk when uts quite with ear plugs. Or pop into your garden. Menrally it will so you good and start to help wirh the H. I too have stayed in the quite and have found it slightly improved the T but worsened the H. You need to do little sound exposures for 10 seconds every day otherwise quite will not really help.
Every single time I feel like I'm doing better I immediately have a huge setback and I don't know why
Had been feeling cautiously optimistic the last few days and now this. I don't know what to don:(
Since this morning my left ear is making a vibrating type sound every time I move. Even chewing, moving my head.

This is most likely TTTS @Zigs It is a condition that is very much related to high anxiety and stress. When stuck in fight or flight mode, this is very common. At least to my own experience. This will ease up with time, but unfortunately this rollercoaster can be unpredictable and totally un-linear.

The thing is, I have been feeling better! So I don't understand why it would strike now
    MindOverMatter
@Zigs That is the nature of this condition. Unpredictable.
You have my complete understanding. Kids love to scream. But they can be coaxed out of it. It's awful, I truly empathize. Tough ages. Tell them about your ears , and get. Help when possible .Massive hugs..you have been awarded a gold medal. 10 of them. Hugs
Foam ear plugs, ear muffs. And consistent teaching and patience. I raised three boys. I would tickle them with ear muffs. Your kids are a tough age. You have all my sympathy. Dont give up Mom. Your a star

My toddler only has one setting (loud!) trying to teach her about inside voices haha
Like on top of a noisy day and bad ear already v sore. How can anyone survive this with a 5 month old and a toddler

Are you taking NAC? ALA? They helped with my pain somewhat and gave me peace of mind. If you don't have custom plugs yet, I strongly suggest you get some.

I have a 2.5yo and 3 month old...currently feeding the baby with my earmuffs on, reading a nice book. You'll be ok!

I take NAC. I have ALA but not taken yet as I've started gabapentin and don't want to mix too many things at once! I wear foam earplugs but I don't really want to wear ear muffs around my toddler as I don't want her to be freaked out or worried! Thank you x
Baby screamed and it was 95db. 30db earplugs and peltor ear muffs but my ear drum still felt it

Deep breath, you'll be ok. Stop measuring how loud they are - you need to stop the obsessive thinking. I know it's easier said then done.

As time goes on you will learn what you can handle. You'll go through situations and realize you end up ok which will help ease the anxiety.
