  • Hi. I just looked at your profile because I saw a post where you said you're anxious and obsessive most of the time. Then I realized you are only 16. My anxiety really stepped up in my 20s as did my OCD
I'm 39 now and I have had a brief series of counseling and read quite a few books on anxiety over the last 5 years which has really helped.

I am glad that you have you been helped. Anxiety and OCD are horrible disorders. I have had anxiety and OCD since I was 3 or 4, it waxes and wanes for me. I am hoping it will go away once summer begins.
Are you still able to reading comfortably? I've been having a ridiculously hard time since my T volume amped up.

Maybe he told you it was mild because he did not want to freak you out? I think T that is 65 decibels is pretty rare since 65 decibels is about as loud as a voice.

I thought about that, and it just seems dumb of him. I did look at him and tell him you're telling my road noise level in the car is mild. It spikes in our diesel truck, which is 90 db. Really I wish I would have paid attention to the paper and pointed out it said severe. *shrugs*

I even told him this was low to what it had been (I could hear it everywhere and actually couldn't hear other sounds). He was the one who told me trying to mask it with hearing aids would be dangerous because of the volume level. It's just weird.

He was very knowledgeable and said I had made progress since my last check up.
I wonder if my subconscious hears tinnitus in my sleep. I hope not because I take comfort in the idea that I hear silence in my dreams. :/

I saw your comment and that's something that I've thought of ever since I got T back in 1999, that I never ever have heard my tinnitus in my sleep. I don't understand why, though.

@Sven I do not hear tinnitus in the few very dreams I remember. However, I do not look for it due to my dreams having other bad things in them.

I've had my T wake me up, but never actually enter my dreams. It's been talked about a lot and it seems like dreams stay safe.
