Poll: Was the Advice You Got on Tinnitus Talk More Useful Than Your ENT's Advice?

I was told there was a 95% chance of it going away... Gave me Ginko pills and had to wait. After a couple of months he came to the conclusion that my tinnitus was here to stay. He pointed out that there was an association in Barcelona and that he couldn´t do much more to help me. That was it...

ENT Promised My Tinnitus Has a 90-95% Chance of Stopping within 6 Weeks — False Hope?

They said exactly the same to me and here I am... You will most likely get a lot better. Patience and don´t wait for it to stop, because it will probably not. Take as it comes and chances are you will live happily again. Good luck!

Is Melatonin Definitely Safe? It Won't Exacerbate Tinnitus?

I have been taking melotanin for some time now, and all I can comment is that it's been beneficial for me. My tinnitus is normally lower when I rest properly (Most of time the time...). Not sure if this counts for everyone though.

Spike in Tinnitus — Did I Make a Big Mistake by Going to a Disco?

Difficult question to answer. Sometimes I think the volume has gone down, but then I get moments when it seems it's just the same. What I can say is that I'm more habituated, to the extent that when I hear it it doesn't bother me one single bit and I just forget about it till I hear it again...

Does Anyone Ever Backslide on Habituation?

I have moderate to tinnitus considering that I can hear it everywhere. It's true it's not even half as bad as it used to be. Not sure if it's because of habituation or it's simply not as loud as it used to be. What I can say after 13 shitty months I got my life back... And i just find it strange...

Does Anyone Ever Backslide on Habituation?

I don´t agree. It depends on the person, and how loud there tinnitus is. I think in general it must be a lot shorter to be able to habituate, considering the majority of T sufferers are mild cases.

And what about the other videos that were found on YouTube that nobody knew about? They were very disappointing and I´m not surprised that Neuromod doesn´t have them on their website. Compared to the first ones, did they really need to get actors? Doesn´t make sense. They simply got the best...

Spike in Tinnitus — Did I Make a Big Mistake by Going to a Disco?

The only thing I can add now is that it´s annoying as yesterday, but I think today was a better day in general. Ofcouse, it had to be my last day at work, and consequently was probably more distracted, who knows... Tinnitus is a night mare when it comes to diagnosing. I made a stupid monkey...

No, i´m sure it´s louder. I´ve had this for more than a year now and I know how to handel it, even on bad days... How Do I Stop Tinnitus from Turning Me Into an Asshole?

You just need to be patient. Time will put you in your spot, and either way things will get a lot better for you. You'd need to be a little bit unlucky for that not to be the case... It just takes forever to get there. Patience, and stop monitoring it. The quicker you will habituate. I've got a...
