I still assume FX-322 works (at least in single dose). It looks like they need some more experimenting. Dose, interval, method of delivery. Unfortunately that is hardly possible under the FDA system and of course available budget.

The vacuum was also financial. The EU was the sponsor of the trial. So the results are there to be continued by a commercial party. And that did not happen. Maybe the results were not convincing enough or maybe not enough was done to get parties involved. We will never know...

At least the placebo dose is the same. :) It is very interesting that they may inject a higher dose than dring the 1/2 phase. Did not consider that the FDA allowed a dose higher than the safety one.

Success rate I define as the percentage improved patients in the trials so far as posted in this threat. This is a weak comparison as we do not have details from the Audion trail and the results are from different phases etc. I fully agree with @FGC and I hope the current trial of FX-322...

This is why it is also bad news. Although I fully agree that FX is a better solution and more forecoming etc, etc, there are also similarities between the two; from a distance they have more or less the same success rate (27%/35%), the same method of delivery, the same support cells, neurons...

@Lucifer : good point! It dropped off while I was editing. This post was done a year ago. So it was known for some time. So a year ago they took some space when the results would be there so I assume nothing special is going on at Audion when they mention April.

Frequency Therapeutics aims at the masses. That's why they partnered with Astellas. They will somehow compete with hearing aids I assume. So I do not expect a million dollar price tag.

What we do not know is what the effect of four injections will be and why Frequency opted for that. They might have chosen variation in the method of delivery. E.g. dose or exposure time.
