I think you're right @wags . this could just be exactly the same kind of treatment we are expecting to get in the west in 10 years but it's just not regulated and probably less refined. Still though i think the treatment could be legitimate.

My Trip to Bangkok: Stem Cell Treatment [Comments]

I think stem cells have the potential to help heal nerves. So I think at least it could help your ears become less vulnerable to damage for sure. I know how you feel, Tinnitus is in complete conflict with my lifestyle it's frustrating.

Inner Ear Hair Cell Regeneration — Maybe We Can Know More

This would make total sense in my case. I just wonder in what scenario the hair cell can die whilst the synapse/nerve fiber remains intact. I might have guessed it would just be due to old age but it's still more common to see hidden hearing loss (synapse/ SGN damage ) in old people before you...

I think that is a more realistic expectation of what stem cells could provide at this point. And even at that, that would improve most peoples situation, if we could just ensure the T didnt get worse i think it would allow people to cope much better with T tbey have now.

This Has Got Me Thinking... (About Loud Sounds Causing Tinnitus)

I read in a study that you can damage your SGN which is a major reason for T, with sustained noise of only 70 db for about 10 hours a day. Thats only 5db above conversation level and less than a busy road. So hearing damage can occur at much quieter sound levels than you might think. Also some...
