Unilateral Buzzing Tinnitus Intense at Night

Thanks, Ben. Yes, I use white noise for sleeping as well. However, mine does not go away like that yet. There are days when it is always there, constantly - I cannot work or focus on anything. It also makes me dizzy I feel. The fact that it is one-sided worries me terribly - if they did not find...

Unilateral Buzzing Tinnitus Intense at Night

Hi, I am desperately in need of some help and advice from people with unilateral tinnitus. What should you really do to feel better? I feel it is worsening with time. I have mine since a couple of months. Will this ever go away? Previously I had unilateral pulsatile tinnitus also on the same...

Thanks Meagan, BuzzyBee. @tiniturtle @Greg Sacramento, what are your views? Please help. You guys were very helpful last year when I was dealing with the pulsatile one. It has come back in another form. It has been so difficult.

Unilateral Buzzing Tinnitus Intense at Night

Hi, I'm 30 and had a spell of pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear last year. I had undergone all tests - audiology, and all the scans - CT, MRI/MRA and even angiography. They did not find anything particular (such as a tumor or AVMs) causing the tinnitus then - it gradually reduced and went away...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

@Semperv sorry for the late reply. My condition has not completely resolved, but I am feeling better. I continue to use music (white noise) while working in a silent room and during sleep so that I am not distracted (in case I hear the sound, which is very less frequent nowadays). This helps...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

Hi @Greg Sacramento the ear redness and infection (if any) was temporary and long gone. Right now the only major problem is the on and off tinnitus in the right ear. Thanks a lot for the suggestions :)

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

Thanks, @Greg Sacramento. My blood tests have been normal. My blood pressure is a little low (especially after the angio). However, I agree I am stressed. The thumping and the sound is so irritating and loud sometimes, it is hard to believe for me that there is no underlying cause. It's so...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

Hi @tiniturtle @Greg Sacramento I had my angiography. Both the doctor performing it, and my neurologist now say there is no DAVF. They initially said it looks like DAVF from the MRI/MRA. The sound is still there (I would say less frequent, and related to my anxiety levels). For example, on...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

Hi all, I saw a neurologist first (I just got a referral to first see a neurologist only - not a neuro interventional radiologist) after the ENT surgeon. Got a CT angiogram done first. Neurologist suspected a dural AVM from the CT angiogram. Then got an MRI/MRA done. The neurologist says...

Any Pulsatile Tinnitus Experts/Doctors in Australia?

Hi @tiniturtle @Greg Sacramento I am just so overwhelmed. The ENT specialist says there is apparently nothing wrong. He will ask for more scans only when he finds something more severe and told me to go back to him if problem persists for another month. Gave some meds if I felt dizzy. My CT was...

Any Pulsatile Tinnitus Experts/Doctors in Australia?

Thanks @tiniturtle. Yes I did see your post, thanks for the nicely written piece of information. Just that, I have not been able to convince my doctor to get an MRA / interventional neuro-radiologist right away. So trying to understand how to approach. Also, can the PT come and go? Can it...

Any Pulsatile Tinnitus Experts/Doctors in Australia?

Hi @Ian Mc I am a 29 year old student from Melbourne. I am having PT in my right ear for sometime now. I would like to know whether the doctors finally diagnosed you in Australia? I have an upcoming appointment with an ENT and want to make the best use of it. I am waiting for my brain CT...

Pulsatile Tinnitus: Any Suggestions for Doctors / Hospitals in Melbourne/Australia?

Hi, Started having pulsatile tinnitus in right ear since last week (sudden, no previous conditions/injury/surgery/trauma). However, I am usually very stressed (work, etc.). It stopped for 3 days in between and came back again today. Initially my GP suggested antibiotics as she could see some...
