    Pulsatile Tinnitus After Meds

I had debilitating T back in April or so, but got onto some meds that helped me. Nortriptyline for the ringing Celexa for depression Clonazapam for anxiety I first got off Clonazapam slowly. After I was off of that (a short term drug I have heard) I worked on the other two. I cut my dosage in...

Pamelor (Nortriptyline) — Does It Help or Hurt Tinnitus?

I've been on Nortriptyline for about 3 months. It has helped reduce the ringing for me. Started at 25m6 and went to 50 mg. I am also on 20 mg of Celexa, and some atavan. Those three got me back to a functional state, of which is such a blessing!

    Anyone Try Nortriptyline?

I have been taking notripltyline for about a month (25mg to start, now up to 50 mg), and it seems to be working very well for me. I am also taking lipoflavenoid, celexa, and clonazapam. I think the notripltyline has definitely helped with my ringing, especially going from 25 to 50 mg.

    Benzos

I have been on Benzos for almost 3 weeks. It has been a major game changer for me. I can actually function now. I have heard people taking it for 8 years, but I have read that the longest usage should be 9 weeks. This is really confusing. I am really freaked out about 'turning back into a...

    The Positivity Thread

Thought I'd add a philosophical standpoint from this adversity we have all been 'blessed' with: ------------------------------------------------- Most of us think what we want in life is peace and security, the elimination of all problems, pains or worries. If we could just get rid of the...

Didn't Wear Earplugs — Regret It Big Time :(

Yeah, it's about the same now. Didn't realize until now how LOUD the movies are. If I watched at the same volume at home, my neighbors would be giving me dirty looks . . .

    Not Coping

Try to stay as busy as possible. Even if you have to do volunteer work. The worst thing for me was sitting in bed and hibernating - my anxiety shot through the roof! Lots of exercise, lots of water, and try some meds, they worked wonders for me. Ambien for sleep - Nortiptiline for the...

Didn't Wear Earplugs — Regret It Big Time :(

Made a similar mistake. I went to a movie with my earplugs in - I seemed to be OK during the movie, but the day after, my anxiety and ringing increased. Not doing that again . . .unless I have some of those heavy duty cups that landscaper workers use .. .

    Crossing My Fingers

Susan, Sorry to hear you're having difficulties. I was so tired and didn't even know it. I took about 3 Magnesium capsules with some Melatonin the first time (I knew about the problem), and slept for 12 hours - like a rock. A couple nights after, i could not sleep, so I ended up going to the...

    Crossing My Fingers

I got T about 2 months ago. I thought my life was over, and I would end up in a mental hospital somewhere. We decided to take it one day at a time, and not think too far into the future. So we prayed and prayed and finally got some answers. Was able to get some sleeping meds to help me get...

    Calmly Waiting

Hello Everyone (41 male) I think this is the first time I have actually contributed to a forum, as I usually lurk. About 8 weeks ago, I started hearing a low pitch sound. I went to the doctor, and he said it was a virus going around, and it should subside in 2-3 weeks. After 2/3 weeks, went...
