    Hi @Johan001. I've been depressed because of my tinnitus too. My doctor recommended mirtazapine. I've been on it for a month and my emotional state has been much improved. It has the welcome side-effect of a good sleep (I take it before bedtime) although it does make me ravenously hungry!

    Hey, I just joined this forum, and your tinnitus description is just like mine! Mine started around the same time as yours too. It was driving me crackers. My doctor put me on mirtazapine to help me relax, and my mood has improved although the tinnitus has not. Did you make any progress yourself?
