Was So Close to Habituating. High-Pitched Reactive Sounds That Disappear and Come Back.

For almost what felt like two weeks, the high pitched reactive sounds in my head/right ear had basically vanished. One of them is like an oscillating flicker, like someone is changing the channel on a CRT TV. Only the pattern is random. Another is a whistling type sound, though this has gotten...

Oh God Please Help! I've Gotten 2 or 3 New Sounds

I agree with Billys comments about reactive t being linked to H. My reactive t/hyperacusis has significantly improved with adipose derived stem cells. My spikes have vastly improved as well.

@Steph1710 , what was the cause for you? Did you have hyperacusis as well and was your tinnitus reactive? I do not know about your case, but I just keep adding new tones and at the moment T is reacting to me speaking and spikes.

How Do You Adapt to / Live with a Very Reactive Tinnitus?

I'm struggling with my 6 weeks old tinnitus. Unlike many tinnitus here, it seems to follow a pretty standard pattern. The more sounds I'm exposed to during the day, the louder it gets. Doesn't matter how loud the sound is, a day with a very low PC-fan wearing earplug and T will eventually...

Does reactive tinnitus usually stop at some point and just go back to being regular T? Is the t more likely to be permanent once it becomes reactive?

HI @Mathew Gould I'm not sure of the source of the t, it changes volume from day to day, not reactive at all, to anything. I do have chronic neck pain/migraine. I will be having an Atlasprofilas treatment next week, hoping that it will at least help with pain/migraine. Not sure about t though...

Overprotection can lead to TTTS, because you’re essentually telling your brain that all sounds hurt. If your T is reactive in relation to TTTS, then sure. If not, I don’t see the connection

5 Months of Tinnitus and Now I'm Here for Help

My T hasn't been reactive, and I confess to not paying enough attention when reading posts by people with reactive T. Hopefully someone with this type of T will be able to answer your question. You might also consider avoidance.
