Retigabine (Trobalt, Potiga) — General Discussion

For reactive T is very bad to try residual inhibition protocols at sleep this is from my experience. Reactive T improves with silence total silence or very low sounds. If you have reactive T and expose yourself to sounds T will become unmanageable. My T is reactive and i have found that only 0db...

If you all have seen my recent post, I've acquired reactive T. After being habituated for a year and a half now to my hissing tone, I've gone back to my dark days. A month and a half ago I woke up to this mild high pitched sound that reacted to stuff like running water and ceiling fans and such...

I Have Reactive Tinnitus — Am I Making It Worse with Pink / White Noise?

Hi all, I've had reactive tinnitus for 2 months and a week. Sometimes I think I might have hyperacusis because the tinnitus itself is so mild. In quiet / normal settings, it's a 1-2 max (sometimes I even have to plug my ears to hear it). Oh, and it's irregular / intermittent - changes every 1...

I have had hyperacusis for about two years after the onset of my T. My t would also spike following inadvertent exposure to noise. But I don't think it was reactive T, as it is my understanding that with reactive T, T gets louder the louder one's environment...

Hey @SmallRonnie when you say both ears do you mean your T is central/head tinnitus or actually in your ears? Your T sounds similar to mine except mine is reactive and my hearing is perfect to 16k as well and a normal ABR.

    Reactive Tinnitus or Hyperacusis? Unsure

I haven't posted in awhile since I first joined because I was feeling comfortable with tinnitus and got over some early hyperacusis. I've only had tinnitus for a month. I was exposing myself to ordinary sounds and just telling myself this could be temporary or permanent but just live your life...

Tinnitus Maskers? Are They Helpful or a Waste of Money?

That’s the thing. My reactive T used to react to pink and white noise....so I never used it. Now my reactive T doesn’t react to white noise. HUGE accomplishment that took 4 months. But now white noise aggravates my baseline T......or maybe it always did but now I’m noticing it because the super...

I think most people that heal reactive T and H with sound therapy do bc of time and not pushing to hard coupled with natural healing. Not the actual therapy itself. Why would I blast frequencies of the broken nerve or hair cell with that frequency if it’s irritated. That’s just my 2 cents...

@ErikaS Yes, I did have a 2 or 3 day bout of reactivity right around the onset of my tinnitus which went away only to come back again. I believe additional hearing loss caused it to return. Has it improved over 2 years? Yes and no. It appears to be less reactive but I think that's down to...

@makeyourownluck. Each ear is different. T is one-sided. Loud low-bass rumbling, with PT in background being it's motor. Seems -behind- ear, reverberating via bone conduction so strong at times throughout body, alike a live electrical current in water. Both ears are very reactive to sound.

Reactive T on the other hand won’t give up and I’ve kind of relegated myself to just having this for life. Kind of what I alluded to in the comment above: I’m tired of caring so freaking much and I seem to do better when I just let go and roll with the punches.

Can Someone Tell Me What I Have? Reactive Tinnitus?

Hey guys, Im a 17 year old student and got my T 3 days ago. Atleast i think its T. What the strange thing is, is that i can barely hear it in silence, but as soon as there is any noise, the T's volume rises to slightly above the volume if what im hearing. Expl: Normal T volume is 1/100 When...

This is interesting and I think people will have different experiences but my own experience is similar to Diesel's ^. The reactive T flared up when H was worse - particularly in sounds that triggered my facial/trigeminal pain H symptoms the T would become reactive and piercing.
