    New to Tinnitus and Struggling

Hi Gio. Me too at 59 having played in bands for years have the high pitched T. At times it gets me down but unfortunately I got into the habit of using alcohol to drown it out. The Quest for Expensive Silence: Or the Habituation Question

What a positive and uplifting post. It's the anxiety caused by the T that is the problem. Take care use earplugs. I practiced with my acoustic band las night. Two guitars. Low bass and a violin. I think that made my T worse today. Didn't use plugs cos I thought it would be ok. So another setback.

"I Would Not Believe Anyone Who Says That a Cure Is Just Around the Corner"

I think that the "cure" that people speak of will be preventative . That is for those who have not as yet contracted T. Or perhaps for those who have just had it. People like me who have had it for years are probably stuck with it for the rest of our lives.
