Mine changed from a pure tone to a high frequency sound all of a sudden after one week exactly. Has stayed high frequency since then, almost a year. I have no idea of what it means, when the sound changes so dramatically from one second to the next.

Thank you for your great post. It is very impressive, that you actually can hear the tinnitus a lot of the day, but you don't think about it... if I am understanding you correct? :) So it is still not masked by the tv, but you don't "hear" it anymore? Thanks...

It doesn't seem like many in here have tried it. And I certainly don't think it is possible to get done here in my country (Denmark). Treatments here are free in all hospitals and at ENTs, but they decide what treatment you are 'allowed' to get. I don't think I could go and just ask for it...

I have tried it 4 times, about 1 week apart. It had no effect, unfortunately.

I know several people with noice induced tinnitus, both family and colleagues. Some got it directly from a concert, and some got it from working in a very noisy environment with no protection. Very common back in the days. None of them has had their tinnitus disappear. Not for a single second...

No, I don't enjoy life. But some of you are so much worse than me. My only problem is tinnitus. That doesn't help me though, since I am so sad for you with multiple issues, and I fear I am next in line to have other issues...

This is surprising I think. If they tried to make room for significant improvement, they should go for people with bad word scores... but I guess there is more to it than what I think :):(

I took it all, and no bad effects for me. No good effects either, though.

My colleague with tinnitus had the Pfizer vaccine, and she said it caused no changes in her tinnitus.

I know nothing about this, really, but just thought that an idea could be using foam earplugs and then the headphones on top of that. She couldn't refuse that... I think. Definitely exciting to hear more when you have had the treatment.

Shouldn't we all be very excited about XEN496? I don't think there is much hype about it here, and I know so little about it. Maybe worth it to investigate it a bit more? :)

I don't know if you can use this info, but I have NIHL and tinnitus. My audiogram shows a loss of 30 dB at 6000 Hz in one ear. That is the tinnitus ear... other frequencies are just 5-10 dB (so basically fine I guess).

Okay, thought so too, but had to ask :) Okay, it was a long shot, but worth asking. I just thought, that when/if this comes to market, there will be months, perhaps years of waiting to even get an appointment with an ENT. Depending on the demand off course...

Do any of you think it is possible that regular GPs could be allowed to do the injection, or is it only ENTs? I know we only mention ENTs in this thread, but if GPs wanted to, would they be able to?

My concerns are just... It might not be Frequency Therapeutics that will delay the opportunities for us in Europe. It might be the European Union that wants to make an agreement in all the European countries before launching FX-322. It is a bit difficult for me to describe it exactly in...

And what about if there is going to be opportunity for compassionate use/right to try, will us foreigners also be allowed? I am from Europe...

Thank you :) I had read somewhere (I don't remember exactly where) that it was two different things. So I had my doubts and difficulties trying to find out what is the cause of my tinnitus... Another question... Do we know how FDA looks at tinnitus? Do they consider it a serious condition...

Does anyone know if FX-322 potentially can help with both tinnitus caused by an acoustic trauma, and tinnitus caused by noice induced hearing loss? (And what is the difference actually? Can it be shown on an audiogram?) FWIW, English is not my first language, so it's not so straight forward...
