Isn't it strange that Lenire never explicitly required "somatic tinnitus", even though the University of Minnesota trials it was based on did require somatic tinnitus. Could that be why it doesn't work for so many people?

I am an atheist but I might just start to believe in a God if Dr. Shore's device proves to be as effective as we all hope. If it's turns out to be a Lenire MkII - my atheism will be confirmed.

I was on the Lenire study like a hawk. However, I am a bit behind with the latest study with Dr. Shore. Apologies if this has been answered before. I know the feeling. That's what I thought when Lenire wasn't available here years ago and only recently became available here 3 years later. But it turns out it wasn't worth traveling for or waiting for based on user feedback over time. Hoping for much better results with the Shore device.

Also, don’t forget the sampling bias for one audiologist who will happily profit from selling it to you. Many people who are not on Tinnitus Talk will buy it, realize it doesn’t work for them, and put it in a cupboard forever. Sampling bias works both ways.

If you read the Q&A by Susan Shore, she specifies that there were no side effects (except a little discomfort from the electrodes at the beginning, until you get used to it) and that the worsening present in the graph was due to exposure to loud noises (such as concerts) during treatment.

    I agree here.
