I agree with @DebInAustralia. I am definitely not obsessed with t, but I remember how aweful I felt at my lowest with t and I feel like if I can help people I will. Which is why I keep checking this site.

Hi All — After About Four Months of Intense Therapy I Consider Myself Habituated

@Equalizer what a terrible thing to say. I still think about my tinnitus often but I have no longer have a negative reaction to it. Just like feeling my clothes on my body, sitting on a chair, hearing all the other sounds in the world. And I personally know about five people in my life that have...

Hi All — After About Four Months of Intense Therapy I Consider Myself Habituated

Hello, I joined this site in January after experiencing tinnitus randomly while I was sitting and reading. I went through about four months of hell. I could not eat (I weighed 130 dropped to 113 in about 2 months), could not sleep (literally). My anxiety was so bad I felt like I was about...

    Zoloft???

@Scott T how are you doing today?
  12. Katvanallen

    Zoloft???

@Florida John yes I have had it since February 3rd. I did have my ears checked and my right ear was impacted but made no difference when he removed it. I don't know how I got it, I was on my 6thday of lecapro when it started but I really don't think that's what caused it because I have taken it...

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

I did! I am on day 5 of Zoloft. And it seems like it might be a little bit less loud but it's definitely not making it any worse so far so good :)

    Zoloft???

This is my second day on Zoloft, was terrified to take it. So far so good don't know if it's just wishful thinking but my t seems to be less the last 2 days.

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

I freaked out when I stayed reading all the horror stories coming off cymbalta. I have been on lexapro after my 2 previous pregnanciesand quit cold turkey and was fine so I'm going to go back to my psychiatrist and ask about celexa or zoloft.

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

Just to update you guys I am stopping the cymbalta. Not because of anything to do with tinnitus but I have been doing a lot of research and it seems that this particular anti depressents is extremely difficult to come off of. I will be trying something else though On Monday.

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

I do generally feel more at ease today, but it usually takes 2 weeks to really see how it's going to effect someone so I have a ways to go.

Day 4 on cymbalta no effect on my t so far.

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

@Jake007 the klonopin is good its not like xanex to were it hits you and you can tell it's more gradual and you just feel normal instead of overly relaxed. I felt like I was nodding off to normal sleep.

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

@ChrisfromCanada yea it took me a long time to make a decision. I had already had some major trauma before this happend so my stress levels were already through the roof :(
  23. Katvanallen

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

@ChrisfromCanada I'm in the same boat, I have been taking a zanex every night for the past 2 weeks or else I don't sleep at all. I just started taking klonopin instead last night. Also just started cymbalta 2 days ago hoping that will get me out of this horrible place.

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

It did make me sleepy I have not slept that good since I got t but managed to sleep last night. Doesn't seem to be anything different sounding today.

    Clonazepam (Klonopin, Rivotril)

I had some pretty traumatic things happen before the onset of t and I had been to a psychiatrist who prescribed me klonopin. I was having a very hard night tonight and took one, it's been about two hours now and I would say the noise has gone down at least 50 percent.

    High Pitch... Feeling Tinnitus

@Marie79 thank you so much for replying. I feel like I'm going insane right now trying to decide how loud it is and feeling it in my head. How long have you had t? Tell me it gets better :( I'm on the verge of crying right now, and my poor kids need a strong mom.

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

I have had the cymbalta now sitting on my kitchen table just staring at it every day. Don't know what's going to make up my mind. My psychiatrist thinks I'm nuts basically for blaming the lexapro for the onset and is advising me to try the cymbalta. Ugh decisions
  33. Katvanallen

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

@3ri0w well it's actually in a different class lexapro is an ssri cymbalta is an snri but it's still terrifying. I has taken Lexapro in higher doses twice before in my life after each baby with no tinnitus.I started taking it again after baby number 3 I don't understand how it could just now...

    To Take Cymbalta or Not?

I was already dealing with extreme anxiety and postpartum depression before the onset of T. Now I need to make the decision to start cymbalta or not. I will mention I was on my 6th day of lexapro when the T started. But I don't know if I'm convinced that's what caused it.

Maybe Had This My Whole Life

@Oli I was actually able to see an ent already, my right ear was impacted he cleared it made no difference. He basically just said ok go get a hearing test done nothing else. What's the prednisone? It started 2 weeks ago.
