I was too impatient it's returning back to normal. chamomile tea + one hour nap helped lots.

After a five hour flight yesterday my tinnitus has spiked. It's noticeably louder and I'm not sure why. I had booked a seat away from the engines... I didn't use my foam plugs cos the noise wasn't intrusive. Maybe this settles after a while. I could use some words of comfort... :(

After exercise I sometimes hear this pumping sound in my ears-it's temporary but could it become permanent? I attribute it to the increased blood flow during and after exercise..

This isn't the first time I hear something like this. It's likely contributed to the anesthesia. :rolleyes: never heard of permanent disappearance though...

You can try noise cancellation headphones too.. no need to have them on full blast. Your Tinnitu smight very well worsen if you keep doing that.

Missed this discussion before! Too many think habituation means tinnitus is not there anymore, it's of great importance to let everyone know what habituation actually is.

Cricket sounds are common.. if you do a google search for "tinnitus crickets" you get a bunch of results. :confused:
