When did your spike start? Since your sick I'm sure that's the cause of it. Seems to be what's caused my current spike. If you're congested at all then that usually makes it worse and can cause fluid to get stuck in your ear and make your tinnitus worse.

Yea mine changes pretty often but I usually don't notice the change unless I really pay attention. But the volume changes randomly too. So weird but it happens to most people with T.

Mine is usually just in both ears or in my head, I can't really tell. But my right ear is a little worse most times though my left ear is worse sometimes, tinnitus is so random for a lot of people so it is normal to change like that.

I have had popping when I swallow and yawn for years, way before my tinnitus. Maybe the earplugs moved some ear way or fluid and is causing them to pop. That is my best guess.

I would reccomend not to use headphones or anything like that, or at least not to loud. I haven't used them since I got T, if I did it was only for a short time. I don't really know what could of caused that but you should just say calm. I don't think it will get worse though.

I think a lot of people have that fear, including me. I won't be able to cope with it if it becomes really loud.

Food and drinks don't really seem to effect my T, at least from what I can tell. I eat lots of different stuff and from what I can tell nothing effects it. Is there anything that effects T for everyone?

@Karen I figured I would reply to this with a update, I beating has improved a lot. It only happens every few days and it is usually just one beat and that's it, before it would just beat for 30 minutes to an hour. But it seems to be better as of right now.

Yea it bothers me too when I am doing dishes, epically when I am putting silverware away. My ears seem really sensitive to some noises for some reason.

@Tenna I know during one episode season 4 episode 5 I think it was, when Rick and Carl were finishing off the walkers on the ground I remember noticing a lot of crickets in the background if that's what your talking about.

It is probably because you are worried and when you wake up they are louder from you thinking about it getting worse in the dream. Does the volume go down afterwards?
