I removed all frequencies higher than 5000 hertz so the offending frequencies wouldn't trigger the sound distortions. I use my computer for listening to all digital audio now as it is now the only viable way.

    The usage of the term "digital" is confusing then... it has a very specific meaning for audio, which is different from what you are trying to convey. Perhaps "playback audio" vs. "naturally occurring audio" is the difference you are after.

    Thank you for the encouragement. Was yours also caused by Prednisone? Did you do anything special, or did it just go away eventually? Some digital audio is OK. But when there is too much noise at the same time, it tends to set it off. For example, metal music is especially bad.

    ...to baseline when you step indoors? Mine does not, if I go outside it will spike and when I come back inside it will continue to be spiked for at least the rest of the day. So I notice my spikes more in a quiet room but this is in general either after being outside or digital audio of some kind.
