Thank you.
Did you follow a particular regimen? Were you in a quieter environment initially? Please let me know if you think any specific approach worked that could help me.
Thank you.
I am trying to understand the mechanism behind my reactive tinnitus. I’m unsure of the underlying model or cause that makes it react. If anyone has insights, please let me know.
I've had tinnitus since 2004, but the reactive type started about two months ago.
Here in Texas, they don't allow you to use your own earmuffs. You have to use the ones they provide in order to listen to the MRI instructions and for two-way communication.
Hi @AverageJoe12.
When you say 'migraine prophylaxis protocols,' are you referring to NeuroMed Tinnitus Program — Founded by Dr. Hamid Djalilian?
Thank you.
Thanks marqualler and wish you continued recovery. Did you officially signup for this program? I was thinking about joining this program but cannot afford this immediately. Can you please check this link from averagejoe12 and let me know if there are any changes to what you followed? Either the...
The program includes 10 telehealth sessions where they monitor your progress and answer any questions you may have. However, it does not include any interactions with Dr. Djalilian.
For NeuroMed.
I know a few people in this thread were trying the same cocktail of drugs on their own, and I wanted to hear if they are seeing any progress before I sign up.
Hi folks,
Has anyone else tried this lately? How is it working for you? I have reactive tinnitus and loudness hyperacusis, and I’m considering signing up for this.
Thanks for all your updates. I have left unilateral reactive T and loudness H for about 2 months now. I had my first instance of tinnitus back in 2004, which I had habituated. I want to try Dr Hamid Djalilian NeuroMod treatment. Are you trying only the Vitamin part of it? Not sure if the program...
@tomytl, thanks for the clarification on TTTS.
When I visited my PCP while waiting for my ENT appointment, I was told the same thing — that my tinnitus symptoms are due to fluid buildup in the middle ear. While researching this, I came across a condition called Endolymphatic Hydrops, which is...
Hi Folks,
If my noxacusis pain (burning around the ears and face) has become slightly less severe after using Magnesium Glycinate, does this suggest that my noxacusis might be triggered by ear muscle issues rather than a nerve issue?
For context, my tinnitus and noxacusis are the result of...
Thanks for the update. I picked up Flonase and Zyrtec from my local CVS today. I’ll give them a try and hopefully get some relief from this.
When I visited the ENT, they performed a tympanometry test and told me that my eardrum movements are normal. Does this mean my hyperacusis is not caused...
Hi Alishia, How are you doing now? I am going through a very similar thing with pain Hyperacusis. Wanted to know how did you approach this? Are you protecting all the time or not? Please let me know. Wishing you continued recovery.
Hi @matt89, how are you doing now? How's the ear pressure? Is the nasal spray helping?
I'm in a similar situation. I have hyperacusis and tinnitus due to acoustic trauma, along with ear fullness. The symptoms are very similar to what you're experiencing. I’m considering trying the nasal spray...
Hi @kingsfan, I’m following up on our previous discussion. I have loudness hyperacusis and moderate noxacusis. My tinnitus tends to flare up when I listen to anything on a phone speaker, which is unfortunately something I do often for work, especially on Zoom calls.
Are you still using the...
