    Thanks for the advice @DeanD! If they offer me microsuction, I will avoid it at all costs. Not worth the risk. I can tolerate over the ear headphones, but no way that headphones can be compared with a loud microsuction gun inside the ears.

    @DeanD So about three weeks ago, I woke up and could barely hear from my left ear. Turns out that I had excessive earwax. I believe it got blocked due to the position I was sleeping. Ocasional in-ear hearing protection overtime may have contributed to this as well.

    So given that it is more resistant to spikes, it means that there are less increases in volume and in general, it’s quieter. Sometimes, I experience intermittent silence that last minutes but I believe that has always being the case, even thought those periods were more brief in the past.

    Hang in, sometimes it gets worser before it gets better. At the mark of month 7, I had a loud humming noise in one ear. Now, almost 15 months after getting it, I no longer have that humming noise + the reactivity I already had at the initial few months decreased.

    So tbh my cause isn’t clear but it happened suddenly two days after an ear wax removal, so highly likely related to the procedure or maybe the wax that impacted my eardrum. It’s very unfortunate that our tinnitus came suddenly without a warning.
