Nasal Neomycin Drops for Throat Inflammation — A Bad Idea for a Tinnitus Sufferer?

I would not use the drops, I even think it is more dangerous than through an intact eardrum. Through your nose, and ET, the Neomycin could reach your middle ear. No guarantee that it would affect you negatively, but if you have an other option, I would absolutely not use Neomycin.

    Low Frequency Tinnitus

My low hum is not constant and I have had bouts with it in every season, except summer. And it is most probably not because I am relaxed then, because I hate summer heat with a burning passion. I don't have an explanation either, this is just a personal anecdote.

How Does Tinnitus Affect You? → Help Me Understand So I Can Empathise with Sufferers Better

It depends, but the short answer is yes, loud music can make tinnitus worse. Whether it makes yours or any other person's tinnitus worse is highly individual. Loud music or loud sounds can also lead to hyperacusis and / or noxacusis. Loud music probably does not trigger it in that sense that...

Police Officer or Park Ranger — Career in Law Enforcement with Pre-Existing Tinnitus?

I hate to say it, but I would also choose a different career path other than law enforcement. I agree with posters above me, if you don't want to do office work, having to deal with firearms regularly is really a big risk, that I personally wouldn't take. It is not fear, I think it is a rational...

Do Sudden Loud Noises Always Lead to Hearing Loss and/or Worse Tinnitus?

Not all loud exposures lead to worsening or hearing loss. If you don't have ear fullness, spike, I would not worry about it much. You can load up on Magnesium/NAC, but until there is something to worry about, don't worry about it. I absolutely understand where you are coming from though...

Poll: Which Is Worse — High-Pitched Tones or Low Humming Tones

I know it is highly individual, but trust me, there are types of low frequency tinnitus which is awfully hard to cope with. Are There Different Types of Spikes?

That is fleeting tinnitus, it is supposedly "normal", quite commonly happens to people without chronic tinnitus/hyperacusis too. Used to happen to me pre-tinnitus as well, but like couple of times a year. When my tinnitus started and was really unstable, it happened up to 10-15 times a day.
