Rosa Canina, Urtica Dioica and Tanacetum Vulgare Herbal Combination in Treatment of Tinnitus

Back in May I added 50 g each of Tancetum vulgare (petals), Urtica dioica (root) and Rosa canina (hips) to 1 litre of vodka. I heated this to near boiling in my microwave a few times and stirred, then re-heated. I removed the container and after 3 days I added another 300 ml of vodka at room...

Rosa Canina, Urtica Dioica and Tanacetum Vulgare Herbal Combination in Treatment of Tinnitus

Hi Dave The only problem is the actual part of each plant that was used in the trial; root, leaf or flower. I'm tempted at a stab in the dark. Stew the lot up and take some each day. From what I've read about most of these herbs is they have supposed anti inflammatory qualities. If that's the...

I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

It's early stages at the moment. I find it it certainly reducing my tinnitus to a weak and broken hiss from a constant hiss at a much higher level. I will persist with it and report back. I've had too many false dawns in the past, so time will tell.

I Invented a Sound That Knocked Out My Tinnitus

@Chris81 After a few hours of listening, it becomes acceptable. It doesn't bother me at all. Initially, I was in bed listening, thinking what a hell of a cacophony it was. Now, a week on, it's just a series of noises. My brain appears to have accepted it. I started at a very low volume, slowly...

Q&A: Tinnitus Hub Meets Neuromod (Lenire)

When this first came out a few years ago I thought it was yet another expensive mp3 player based piece of junk that was being pushed onto the market. However, after watching the video I realise the researchers at Neuromod are seriously taking this device to an end conclusion as far as research...

After Waking Up My Tinnitus Is Really Loud, Making Me Feel Like Hurting Myself

It's called the Awakening Response when hearing is the first sense to become active after waking. Cortisol stress hormone level peaks at this time too and slowly diminishes as the day progresses.

    Floaters

This is true, but the practioner needs to be using a high enough laser power in order to vaporise the floaters, and not break them up into smaller fragments. Patients sometimes see tiny gas bubbles as the floaters are vaporised. The bubbles are then reabsorbed and disappear. Floaters present...

How Effective Is Olive Oil in the Prevention of Ear Wax Buildup?

Olive oil in the ear canal should prevent ear wax from becoming compacted and causing a problem. I use a few drops of slightly warm oil in my ears once a month from an eye dropper. It should help in the natural cleaning process of the ear canal moving wax to the outside. Please, please, never...

Poll: Does (Or Did) Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, or Ativan Lower Your Tinnitus?

It reduced my anxiety and tinnitus for a while, maybe a couple of months. I felt more able to get on with my life. I then developed tolerance and did not wish to increase the dosage. Kevin Hogan advocates it in his book. It's one of the things that got him over tinnitus.

    Magnesium

Try soaking in a warm bath with about 400g of Epsom salts (Magnesium sulphate) dissolved in it for at least 20 minutes. Relaxing, softens the skin and the magnesium is transdermally absorbed.

    Floaters

Personally, I would rather not have tinnitus. If I shut my eyes, the floaters disappear, tinnitus doesn't. In any case, floaters are curable. Tinnitus isn't. There's a choice.

A "preclinical model" involving results for rodents being alleviated of tinnitus compared to that in the human model - a few minutes or hours for rats and in a human, 3 months, 6 months or more?
