A phase 11 trial will only commence if the results from the phase 1 trial are positive. I think the phase 1 trial has only just started so it will be a little while yet before we know the results and when/if and where a phase 11 will begin.

No clinicals trials cannot see inside your brain but that has always been the case with any drug that affects the brain - anti psychotics, anti depressants, epilepsy drugs, even paracetomol. This is why new drugs are closely monitored for years in order to discover what the affects are over...

I'm also an advocate of wine (red or white) after 2 glasses my T virtually disappears ! I think the important thing is not to over do it - relying on alcohol is s very bad idea. But my understanding is that alcohol works on the same receptors as benzos so when I have a bad T day a glass or two...

There's such a lot of drugs on the market that are prescribed off label, if AUT turns out to have a positive effect on T as well as the primary indication I would hope a doctor would prescribe it off label. Yes, I think we will all be watching SF0034 very closely now Danny Boy ! If only the...

I think it's wrong to say there will be know cure / treatment for 8-10 years. That is just conjecture on your part and is in no way based on fact. Please don't post statements you cannot substantiate with facts. No-one knows when a treatment may come along . . . that is a fact.

Me too amandine, in my head. I do seem to be habituating fairly well though as a lot of the time these days I don't notice my T so much. That said, I think the process of habituation can be a bit of a double edged sword - because I don't notice my T a lot of the time now, when I do it really...

I sleep with nature sounds on all night, at a volume just below that of my tinnitus. Not only does this help me sleep but, apparently, it's good to give your brain something else to listen to (other than the tinnitus) even when you're asleep.

Welcome David, I love your positivity ! You're tinnitus is very recent so there is a good chance it will resolve on its own. Keep getting on with your life but protect your ears in loud places. x

I don't think money would speed up the process. Even the biggest pharma companies with loads of money still have to follow trial procedure and timelines. Drugs just take years to get from concept to market. We're going to have to be patient. ;)

Just wanted to add, at no point during the screening process do they ask what caused your tinnitus. So I'm not convinced it is just for noise induced T. If that was the case surely that would be part of the inclusion criteria ?
