I'm planning on putting together a video of sorts on my tinnitus experience, I will post it here when I do. Nobody can guarantee that your tinnitus gets better, but it honestly can. I pray we one day have better treatments for this than hearing aids and masking sound pillows. Until such time...

There's a world of difference between dealing with light hissing and the cacophony of signals that were raging at me in 2018/2019. I remember sitting in a quiet meeting room with colleagues and I could hear an undulating alarm-style sound over their discussion. I thought "I can't possibly live...

I'm planning on putting together a video of sorts on my tinnitus experience, I will post it here when I do. Nobody could habituate to the horrible tinnitus I had at the start and it's beyond patronising that the healthcare providers - ENT and NHS audiologist - thought that was a reasonable ask.

Hello there, it's been a while since you posted and it's been a while since I logged in. My tinnitus has gotten much better in the 4 years since it first developed. I would say I'm habituated at this stage, but I would also say that's been largely due to the improvement of symptoms.

Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOs, TCAs, TeCAs)

Mirtazapine/Remeron. 30mg. It did come with a warning about how this should not be given to people who have suicidal thoughts, but it's not an SSRI. About a stone. It's affected my hunger more than anything. I can go from finishing a meal and feeling stuffed to feeling very hungry quite...

Nice to see you, too, Tanni. I don't check the site every day anymore, but I do check every now and then. I'm anticipating a spike of some sort, or general heightening. But I'm also looking forward to having my diet and hunger more under control.

Antidepressants (SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOs, TCAs, TeCAs)

My tinnitus is more stable now. It's hard for me to articulate, but it's not wildly fluctuating like last year. Sitting in meetings with essentially the undulating sound of an ambulance was very tough to cope with. It's still there though. I think the drug had some effect, but not sure. They...

Good question. I think Lenire has helped, but it truly is hard to say how much. I have made massive lifestyle changes in the last 14 months, I've not been to a concert or nightclub in that time and I muff up in the gym.

Lenire — User Experiences and Reviews

Stay the course, Mentos. My tinnitus is a lot better now than when I got it a year ago. Part of that is likely due to Lenire. I've been using Lenire post-12 weeks, but I've missed a few days here and there due to work. I'll continue.

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

It was for compliance reasons. I think if you asked people to devote more time than that, you'd see compliance fall off. I've done more sessions on the weekend, when I have more free time. It's hard to say if it had a massive effect, but I didn't experience a spike or anything like that afterwards.

I don't think you can say it's a habituation device, there's enough improvement to suggest otherwise, but I think the data also shows that a massive improvement is statistically a smaller group. I think @threefirefour showed that most testimonials show "some" improvement. I do, however, think...

Lenire — Bimodal Stimulation Treatment by Neuromod

Ah, right. Not really. What seems to affect my tinnitus is noise exposure, flights and exercise. The latter typically affects it in a good way, my tinnitus tends to be at its most stable upon waking or post-exercise. I've not had anything else, like caffeine or alcohol, have an impact.

Yes. I wouldn't apply for a job in a library, but in most day-to-day situations, it's more easily masked. I was in a 2 day training seminar last month, and thanks to the ancient heating system being switched, I was struggling to hear my tinnitus. Thanks. I know from LinkedIn that they are...

I only listen to music while I run. It's like a treat for me, lol. I tend to keep the volume low enough that I can hear my own breathing and steps on the ground. I used to blast it loudly.
