It's crazy how tinnitus works, huh. Here I am, completely habituated when suddenly it worsens, out of nowhere. I haven't had an acoustic trauma, am not sick, just got slightly worse out of thin air. Oh well, people who say that T worsens no matter what you do are probably right.

As far as I know, HBOT is only effective if you do it within the first 3 days after onset. It can never hurt to try, tho.

I am *this* close to writing a success story. Tinnitus hasn't reduced in the slightest, but habituation is real.

Good news: my ear pain was actually just my wisdom tooth. No more ear pain since tooth has been pulled, which I’m VERY happy with.

I assume you’ll be okay and even if your tinnitus increases, it’ll be temporary. Please do work out and try to stay in good health. I go to the gym with noise cancellation headphones just because the clanking sounds of the weights are irritating to my ears, but at home you should be fine.

Ah, thanks for the information. Do you know if this movement could warrant a permanent worsening of the tinnitus? I was almost fully habituated to the previous volume and I do have the mental capacity to also habituate to the current one, but it’s all so very tiresome.

I still listen to music via ANC headphones, albeit on low volume and only when I’m in the gym, which is 4 * 1-1.5 hour per week. It doesn’t affect my tinnitus but I do wonder if I can see some improvement if I’d stop using them altogether.

As of today, I will take an Acai supplement twice a day (together with NAC and Magnesium bisglycinate). If I have any improvement, I will come back to this thread. Context: I have bilateral noise-induced moderate tinnitus. Left is louder than right.
